Roto-Disc® Company has
been manufacturing heavy duty
industrial valves for difficult
dry and slurry material handling
applications since 1984. The
spherical valves will slice through
almost any sticky, gummy or abrasive
substance and won’t
leak, gum-up or pinch/break product.
They are ideal for the
food, pharmaceutical and chemical
industries and as replacements
for ball, slide-gate / knife-gate,
and butterfly valves. Sanitary,
bubble-tight and diverter styles
are also available. Almost anything
that runs through a process line
can run through these workhorse
valves.
Typical products include: plastic
pellets; powdered metals; pharmaceutical
powders; seasonings; pulp and
paper; dye intermediaries; calcium
carbonate; TiO2; seeds and grains;
biological waste slurry; alumina
powder; and cement and sand.
Typical applications include:
mixer inlet and discharge;
reactor fill and discharge; refill
of loss-in-weight feeders; dilute
and dense-phase pneumatic conveying;
bulk-bag fill and discharge;
and hopper shut-off.
Available in 2-24 inch port
sizes. Common body and dome
materials of construction include:
304, 316 and 410 Stainless
Steel; 4140 Carbon Steel; Hastelloy-C;
Ductile Iron; Aluminum; and Aluminum
Bronze. Common seat/seal materials
include reinforced Teflon®,
PEEK, Viton, Buna, Neoprene,
Silicone Rubber, Perflouroelastomer
(FFKM) and EPDM. Hard seats include
304/316 Stainless Steel, Stellite,
Abrasion Resistant (AR400) Steel,
Ductile Iron and Bronze. Other
body and seal materials are available
upon request.
Automated air-lock (double-dump)
assemblies and flow control solutions
for precise flow measurement
are also available. Flange Adaptors,
Concentric Reducers, Stub Ends,
Sanitary Clamp Connections are
available and special drilling
for mating flanges and/or take-out
space are commonly provided as
